Blagdon Inn – Paignton

As Londoners, we are pretty much used to being able to pop into a pub anytime on a Sunday, without having to think of whether or not they are still serving. On our last trip to Devon however, we found ourselves getting in a bit of a tizz trying to plan when we were going to eat, being aware that pub lunch hours are shorter than at home. Finding ourselves in Paignton at 2.45pm on a lovely sunny afternoon, we decided to turn off into the Blagdon Inn and arrived just in time to sample their Sunday carvery.

Bridge House Tavern – Penge London

As the weather warms up and Summer approaches, life becomes a little easier for us dog owners, who like to spend lazy Sunday afternoons dining out with man’s best friend. We at Dog Friendly UK find it much more pleasant sitting in a beer garden with Betsy the Chihuahua and she prefers to be out in the fresh air too.

Last weekend we popped into The Bridge House Tavern in Penge West for a late lunch. We’ve been there many times before because it has the best beer garden within the closest proximity to where we live – It was in fact the very first dog friendly place we visited with Betsy when she was a puppy, last Summer. Ah, she was so tiny then!
